Description
The Senior Stars Improvement, Clinical Professional (RN/LPN) role focuses on clinical and performance interventions with providers. Decisions are typically related to resources, approach, and tactical operations for projects and initiatives involving own departmental area. Requires cross-departmental collaboration, and conducts briefings and area meetings, maintains frequent contact with other managers and leaders across the organization.
Responsibilities
The Senior Stars Improvement, Clinical Professional (RN/LPN) develops programs designed to increase the plan quality. Partners with leaders regarding implementation planning. Reviews and communicates results of programs. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed with minimal direction. The associate is expected exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments and account management. Additionally, this role will also be supporting the Stars operational and compliance team with clinical input and reviews on initiatives and resources.
Effectively develops, enhances and maintains provider relationships
Facilitates virtual and in-person meetings with provider groups
Reviews and communicates to providers groups results of Humana Quality programs
Identifies specific practice needs to provide support
Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to improve regional quality performance
Provides support and consultation to provider groups related to CMS Stars programs as well as Humana's quality programs

Required Qualifications
An active Registered Nurse (RN) License or LPN License free of restrictions
5 years of RN experience OR 5 years LPN experience with Bachelors Degree
2 years In clinic experience ( (if hospital experience, quality improvement focus)
Familiar with provider office processes
Ability to influence and make a positive impact
Strong presentation skills both verbal and written
Ability to work autonomously and within a highly collaborative team
Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Understanding of metrics, trends and the ability to identify best next steps
Proven organizational and prioritization skills and ability to collaborate with multiple departments
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Business, Finance, Health Care or a related field
Understanding of CMS Stars, performance measures, HEDIS knowledge and experience
Background working in quality improvements
Experience working with Medicare Advantage Plans
Prior value-based care or managed care experience
Coding experience
Additional Information
Ability to travel 25% of the time in the North East region.
