Certified Mobile Notary Service (****is seeking for someone to fill the position of an Experienced Mortgage Underwriter to work remotely in the U.S.
SUMMARY:
We are seeking experienced Conventional & Government Mortgage Underwriters with complete knowledge of underwriting guidelines, analysis of credit profile, income, assets, and collateral value experience.
DUTIES:
Review and analyze Conventional, FHA, VA and USDA mortgage applications and documentation for accuracy and completeness per compliance with company standards, federal and agency standards and guidelines, investor requirements, applicable state-specific and or local regulations, ordinances, etc.
Analyze customer’s loan-to-value ratio, debt-to-income ratio, credit report, application, income and assets, source(s) of down payment funds, and supporting documentation to identify potential fraud or misrepresentation.
Analyze/understand all types of tax returns.
Verify accuracy between company systems and Automated Underwriting System (AUS).
Ensure quality and accuracy of each loan.
Review appraisals to ensure that loans meet secondary market, investor, and company standards.
Determine if additional documentation or information would aid loan decision; request additional documentation or information accordingly.
EXPERIENCE:
Underwriting within the Empower Loan Origination System experience is required.
3/+ years of experience as a Mortgage Underwriter (both government & conventional).
Direct Endorsement (DE) certification is required.
VA LAPP is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
Residential mortgage lending knowledge.
Conventional, FHA and VA underwriting.
FNMA and FHLMC Guidelines.
Credit Analysis and Risk Assessment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF.
Organized and detail-oriented.
Ability to effectively prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Computer and Internet.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/CONDITIONS: General office environment. Some lifting and bending required.
