Where you fit in

Shell is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic C&P Analyst Mobility DACH to join our Contracting & Procurement (C&P) Team in Hamburg. The multi-national Team collaborates across several locations and performs all strategic and tactical contracting and procurement activities for the Mobility Business Unit which operates Shell’s Petrol Station and Electric Vehicle Charging (EV) network in the DACH region.

What’s the role?

Incumbent of the role will perform contracting and procurement activities across the entire procurement cycle for

a big variety of demands arising on our petrol stations in the DACH cluster. Primarily this includes sourcing and contract management activities to fulfill Shells strategic Energy Transition ambitions as well as Marketing related procurement activities to increase our presence in the Non-fuels Retail categories.

In addition, the CP Analyst Mobility DACH will provide strategic insights in form of analyses.

More specific responsibilities include:


Develop & execute commercially competitive contracting & procurement strategies for Shell Mobility DACH which meet the Business Demand while considering potential implementation of Global Strategies at local/regional level
Conduct tenders, evaluate bids & drive negotiations with Suppliers
Ensure delivery of maximum value through each of the awarded contracts/commercial deals
Implementation of robust Contractor Safety Management practices and alignment to Shell’s personal and process safety Goal Zero focus areas in close liaison with Contract Managers/Holders and Owners
Ensure continuous decarbonization of our supply chain in close collaboration with suppliers
Proactively identify & understand commercial/procurement needs from internal business partners (Shell Mobility DACH Business) and collaboratively propose competitive solutions. This may involve constructively challenging the Business Demand and/or Procurement Practices to drive value and efficiency for the organization
Manage Supplier Relationship effectively and collaboratively drive continuous performance improvement via relevant contract key metrics (Eg: HSSE, Operations, Cost). This involves constructively challenging the Suppliers in terms of the contract delivery and performance
Build and maintain strong network in the market, being fully aware of supplier developments and opportunities coming up in the market
Ensure strong connect across the wider C&P Organization (Eg: Downstream, Functions & Technology, Centre of Excellence) to ensure continuous cross sharing and leveraging of best practices
Ensure collaborative ways of working with Global Mobility Category Leads
Provide coaching, support, and guidance to other team members to ensure delivery of results where possible


What we need from you


Bachelor’s degree (min) in Business, Law, Finance, or related field
Proven experience in Contracting & Procurement or third-party negotiation
Experience in drafting and managing contracts
Proven track record of execution excellence & delivering results, e.g through active contract management or CI Projects
Strong analytical data crunching (e.g., experience in PowerBI, pivot table) and presentation skills
Experience with SAP ARIBA is considered a plus
Experience and expertise in marketing, convenience retailing and/or e-mobility is a plus
MCIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) Qualification or similar would be preferred but not mandatory
Highly tuned commercial acumen and curiosity with demonstrated ability to develop and deliver value from complex deals
Good understanding of strategic, technical, legal, finance, taxation, and commercial issues
High interest in contract negotiations & complex tender evaluation
Ability to articulate in an organized and precise manner
Self-starter - able to work and solve problems under their own initiative
Strong interpersonal, influencing & stakeholder management skills
Fluent in both German and English language
