Internal Job Description
SUMMARY : This position is responsible for the preparation of annual, monthly and weekly plant production financial statements, budgets, balance sheet reviews and reports for the Sedalia processing facility. This includes gathering and processing information to generate accurate performance reports, providing costing and reporting of weekly production, and preparing weekly cost and margin projections. Other duties include staffing and supervising accounting and clerical team members, supervising payroll for all location team members, ensuring adherence to generally accepted accounting principles, and adherence to Tyson accounting policies, which may involve in-house auditing of books and inventories. Other duties include developing annual operation budgets, and completing other special projects as needed.
REQUIREMENTS :
Education : Requires broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field normally acquired through a Bachelor's degree in an academic field directly related and essential to the job. Accounting or Finance degree required.
Experience : 3 plus years accounting preferred.
Computer Skills: Requires strong computer skills using Microsoft Excel and intermediate skills in other Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, and Powerpoint. Other systems include SAP, FULL PPPI, Blackline, and Agristats.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Supervisory : This position is responsible for supervising 4 team members.
Travel : 1 to 3 domestic trips per year
