Aon Is Looking for an Operations AnalystDo you have strong analytical skills with a passion for data? We currently have an exciting career opportunity for an Operations Analyst to work with our Global Commercial Risk Team in our Chicago office (preferable). Flexible work arrangements, 'Hybrid' or 'Virtual' we be determined based on the location of the selected candidate.Your Impact as an Operations AnalystAs an Operations Analyst, you’ll be a part of a lean team, operating globally, that collaborates with regional, industry and functional SMEs to influence achieving the global agenda. Specifically, the role is to support the development and execution of operational and growth plans within Commercial Risk Solutions; this includes work on defining the current market landscape, Aon’s competitive position, and emerging trends through completing gap analyses, process mapping, and requirement definition. The role also supports organizing organic and inorganic investments to support Aon’s strategic goals into a prioritized multi-year roadmap, establishing program governance, tracking and reporting on progress.Duties and ResponsibilitiesIdentify and gather required data, interpret and execute analyses, and present findings to team members and internal stakeholdersConduct interviews and document feedback and key themesHelp develop implementation plans, identify potential challenges, document key considerations, and draft recommendationsHandle and complete complex analyses, including building financial cases, roadmap prioritization, and process mappingAssist with execution activities which can include coordinating and facilitating working sessions, tracking progress against milestones, and preparing stakeholder communicationsDevelop domain expertise and share industry trends and research with team membersRequired Skills and QualificationsEducationUniversity degree, preferably in a finance or business-related fieldExperience1-3 years of work experience, preferred in operations, change management or continuous improvementBasic understanding of P&C insurance including industry practices, competitors and recent trendsProven experience in applying well-developed problem-solving skills (quantitative, conceptual, analytical)Required SkillsAbility to communicate complex ideas effectively, verbally and in writing; English required and other languages a plusAdvanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookStrong work ethic, open-mindedness, and willingness and proactiveness to learnGood organizational awarenessResults-oriented and ability to work independentlyAttention to detail as well as seeing the bigger picture Salary The target salary range for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 annually and is bonus eligible. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
