Job Purpose & Accountabilities:

The purpose of the role of the Joint Venture Finance Advisor is to provide finance support to ensure compliance with both Production sharing contracts and Joint operating agreements to enhance the recoverability from Joint ventures partners and EGPC through a general guidance from the Joint venture and cost recovery managers. The Joint Venture Finance Advisor will report into the Country Controller, supporting the JV Finance Manager and Cost Recovery Manager.

Accountabilities:


Resolution of Issues and Findings until Completion and Closure of Audit
Recording of Findings.
KPI reporting and Continuous Improvement, feedback to Joint Venture Asset team
Review Monthly partner billing and prepare for sign off
Ensure compliance with the Shell Group Control Framework and the Joint Venture Cost compliance audit approach
Understand the risk picture of the operated and non-operated ventures.
Lead and participate in Joint Venture Partner Audits for Non-Operated Ventures.
Supports moving from sole cost recovery basis to audits as entry point for more commercial/governance value
Maintain a deep knowledge about Joint Venture Agreements, Industry Guidelines and Standards, and industry and country specific practices with regards to cost recovery, cost allocation processes and other accounting issues.
Support or participate in Multi Venture Audits where relevant.
Support upstream revenue interface with EGPC and resolution of conflicts
Act as focal point for intergroup charges.
Accountable for service request and secondees billing with Joint ventures.
Accountable for related balance sheet reconciliation accounts confirmation.
Monitoring cash calls to partners and Joint ventures
Handling billings queries with Partners.
Support in tax return preparation.
Support in local tax audit.

Requirements:

Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience:


Finance professional with accounting or business qualification
Previous experience in O&G is preferred
Can-do mentality and Team player
Good influencing and communication skills (fluent in English)
Strong analytical skills, with eagle eyes for details
SAP Blueprint working experience
Contribute in the area of Health, Safety, Security and Environment through demonstration of own personal commitment to safe operations with particular focus on the security of the company’s staff
