Sourcing Specialist

Profile

The Sourcing Specialist role is a collaborative and results oriented role in a wide range of indirect categories to work within our Global Procurement Team.
This position will support sourcing and category management activities for various indirect categories including, commercial, IT, corporate services and S&T.
The individual will be part of the Procurement Center of Excellence and will collaborate with Category Managers to develop and execute services, sourcing strategies, develop sourcing and procurement solutions that are designed to drive spend and savings, and incorporate vendor management metrics thatll support Mallinckrodts goals while achieving optimal pricing, quality and service levels.
This role will support and lead sourcing projects, including all key steps such as strategy implementation, support supplier negotiations, award recommendations, business case presentations and supplier contract execution.

Support development of a comprehensive set of processes to provide back-office support to category management and site procurement teams
Support and lead sourcing projects, including key steps such as strategy implementation, supplier negotiation support, award recommendations, business case presentations and supplier contract execution
Strong Statement of Work (SOW) negotiation experience
Support the standardization of procurement processes and templates (e.g., RFPs, rate cards, scorecards, etc.)
Use analytical skills to conduct RFP and bid comparisons
Promote corporate objectives and change initiatives, ensuring that the sourcing team is supporting overall company direction and growth
Enable optimal communication with various stakeholders that partner with procurement in an effort to achieve savings through reporting and various communication forums
Assist in benchmarks and reporting on Procurement's performance
Monitor Procurement and end user compliance with Procurement Governance
Minimum Requirements
Education / Experience / Skills :
Bachelor's degree in finance or a related business field required
Minimum of 3 years of experience in consulting, sourcing / procurement / supply chain management function preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of indirect procurement preferred
Project management experience in a corporate and / or professional services environment preferred
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Demonstrated ability to effectively lead formal strategic sourcing efforts related to indirect categories
Ability to interface with internal stakeholders and suppliers via strong written and verbal communications skills
Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
Solid multi-phase project management skills
