Where You Fit In –

The e-Depot Delivery Manager in Shell Fleet Solutions (SFS) is the single point of responsibility within the regional organization for the overall project delivery, construction CAPEX and OPEX maintenance program for e-Depot, charging solutions at private locations of Fleet Solutions and Commercial Road Transport customers.

What’s the role –

The role leads development of cost competitive e-Depot solution designs for fleets of e-Vans, e-Trucks and e-Busses. It is a critical leadership position for the relationship with Engineering Project Management Company (EPCM) and Facility Management Company (FMC) organizations delivering projects and program by effective and efficient project management that drives down cost, reduces cycle time and strong HSSE performance. This role represents a key position to enable the delivery of the Accelerate e-mobility strategy.

Main accountabilities:


Further develop an e-Depot delivery organization with 25-35 staff in North America that is ready to scale for market leadership
Co-Develop and implement the right solution design, implementation planning, and flawless and safe delivery and operations.
Lead the Technical Authority for solutions delivered at private locations
Lead and drive HSSE culture within the EPCM and FMC organizations and through them to contractors. Ensure compliance with the Shell HSSE policies and through them, by contractors.
Deliver construction and maintenance activities in line with annual CAPEX and OPEX budgets and strategic direction of e-Depot in the region
Drive and manage the strategic relationship with EPCM and FMC at regional level. Provide leadership to EPCM and FMC team to set a clear direction and priorities regarding construction and maintenance programs. Manages on output whilst actively works on operational/process excellence. This includes an additional 30 contractor FTEs on full-time basis working for Shell.
Review with EPCM and approve the phasing of projects that are prepared by the EPCM including procurement strategies
Provides the Scope of Work for construction and maintenance
Chair the monthly Performance meeting with EPCM/FMC teams to review the project/program delivery including spent, milestones and HSSE and agree action plans to improve project/program delivery performance.
Collaborate with Value Stream e-Depot to improve capabilities and develop new offers.
Provide an interface to key stakeholders in other SFS functions, Mobility and Shell Recharge Solutions (SRS), to ensure alignment on development of the share e-mobility ecosystem.
Own the permit process and ensure operational excellence across the wider e-Depot team and the external partners.
Active participation in preparing tender bids for e-Depot opportunities.
As most senior technical delivery person in the e-Depot team, lead special projects across the boundaries of the different functions.
Lead, coach and develop a team of professionals.


What we need from you -


Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
Degree in Finance, Engineering or equivalent with at least five (5) years relevant experience in supply chain and deal making with ability to develop and deliver value from deals, including drafting, negotiating, and executing contractual terms and conditions.


Specific professional skills include:


Ability to strongly influence wide range of internal and external stakeholders and deliver through them quickly and effective
Focus on developing solutions that are fit-for-purpose for market, whilst being very commercially savvy and compliant with Shell’s HSSE control frameworks
Enabling the organization to execute relentlessly against commitments made in T&R and develop new practices that strengthen strong financial results in the market
Strengthen team competences (technical and HSSE, commercial contract management and project management)
Strong negotiation and engagement skills, being able to constructively bring together conflicting priorities and views
Strong English skills.
