This position is the primary lead on Category Pricing (Mexican Original) with a Hybrid function of some customer pricing responsibility. The position will work directly with the BU’s, Customer pricing, and Sales in this role. This position is directly responsible for the development, delivery and execution of corporate standards, policies and best practices around pricing that are aligned to Category and BU strategies. The role will work closely with BU to provide predictive analysis and recommendations to objectively guide and influence margins thru accurate cost models. This position will support the strategic development of hurdle rates and guardrails for trade spend within the customer pricing team. This position is expected to be the product cost expert for the Foodservice business with the understanding of product cost changes including protein market impacts on raw material input costs, conversion costs, yields, throughputs, labor, ingredients, other variable costs, fixed overhead costs, and warehouse and distribution costs. The baseline understanding of costs will influence all aspects of business specific pricing and margin decisions and will ensure the basis for pricing decisions are accurate. The Hybrid part of the role will require the position to work with Sales on monthly/Qtrly renewals of customer contracts or new opportunities that meet BU’s expectations around margin and volume.

Job Responsibilities:


Support the BU in developing hurdles and guardrails for their category

Support Finance in ongoing efforts to manage sku level margins.

Support Innovation team to develop pricing assumptions for product launches

Support BU in developing recommendations for RFP’s

Support BU in developing cost models that accurately portray cost thru plant processes

Partners with Finance to understand cost changes including raw materials, conversion costs, yields, throughputs, labor, other variable costs, fixed overhead costs and distribution costs.

Calculate ROS on all trade programs related to the business as well as customer level P&L’s

Develop and present analytics to Sales that highlights business risks and opportunities

Renewal of customer contracts in Forge

Review and advise sales on new customer opportunity pricing


Qualifications:


Bachelor’s Degree required; Degree in finance, accounting or other business related preferred

5 years experience in accounting, finance, economics, or other business-related fields.

CPG or Foodservice trade, pricing, and/or category management experience preferred

Strong written and verbal communication skills; good presentation skills

The ability to work cross-functionally and to manage a large number of complex projects simultaneously with a proven track record of customer focus (both internal and external).

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent analytical skills with sound expertise in financial modeling and analysis.

Strong systems and spreadsheet skills, including Excel, Powerpoint, SAP, Vistex, Blacksmith

Limited travel expectations (1 – 2 trips annually)
