Job Summary

**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is looking for a Senior Director to join the Enterprise Procurement team to focus on Construction Labor. The Construction Labor category includes Permitting, Fielding, Outside Plant (OSP) Construction, Wireless Construction, Design and Engineering (NDEA), and Locating. In this role, you will work collaboratively with stakeholders and leadership to develop and champion construction labor strategies that support Regional, Divisional, and National labor needs, and enable **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. to meet or exceed its passings targets. You will also focus on business partner development and relationship management. The role reports to the Vice President, Enterprise Procurement. Candidates should possess strong communication and relationship building skills, the ability to influence decisions, category management experience, and a commercial mindset. End-to-end negotiation experience, including identifying, developing, and executing successful partnerships is critical to success in this role. An understanding of communications technology, construction, and/or labor procurement is beneficial, but not required.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities


Develop category strategy, drive strategic alignment, and influence decision-making

Develop and execute negotiation strategies; negotiate favorable commercial and contractual T&Cs

Manage strategic business partner relationships

Manage internal stakeholder relationships

Understand changing market conditions and align/update strategy to meet business needs and mitigate risk


General Candidate Requirements


Excellent written and oral communication skills, coupled with strategic influencing skills and the ability to drive agreement through intellect, interpersonal and negotiation skills

Experience interacting with and presenting to leadership and stakeholders at a variety of levels

Ability to deconstruct and solve complex business problems; analyze situations, develop strategies, present & persuade others of strategy, and effectively & efficiently execute

Ability to pivot/update strategy as requirements and market conditions change

Visual analytic skills - translate analyses into audience appropriate presentations to recommend strategies and guide decision-making


Education & Experience


Bachelor's degree, with 10 years related experience. Degree in Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain/Operations, or preferred, but other majors accepted with right work experience

Consulting, Business Development, Telecom/Cable experience is a plus

Candidates should be proficient with Excel and PowerPoint
