DescriptionThe Sr. Financial Analyst under the general direction of the Director of Planning & Analysis, the Sr. Financial Analyst contributes to the Casino’s growth and profitability through support of retrieving and compiling financial as well as preferred player data analysis and promotion initiatives. The Financial Analyst is responsible for data integrity and financial project evaluation cataloging and will assist with business reporting and project-related analysis.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe statements describe the general nature and level of work only. Other duties may be added, or this description may be amended, at any time.nPractice, support and promote the Mission, Vision and Values of Muckleshoot Casino.nCreate, develop and perform standard and ad-hoc queries of financial data using SQL.nDevelop all companywide financial analysis support required by the department and casino operations.nCompile and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual reports and ensure financial information has been recorded accurately.nPrepare recurring reports by analyzing, interpreting and summarizing financial data.nIdentify trends and developments in competitive environments and present findings to Operational Leadership.nProvide advanced analytical and programming support to assess and monitor performance of the property.nCoordinate and support business and financial planning, including short- and long-term financial forecasting.nDevelop and maintain databases for financial, gaming, marketing, staffing and other statistical data.nSupport the annual budget process by developing historical, current and potential future trend analysis.nAssist in assessing and communicating financial and operating results to managers.nDevelop appropriate financial and operating metrics for use by management in decision making. Ensure department goals and performance measures are understood and achieved by managers.nEnsure prompt and discreet notification to appropriate management of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations.nAssist with high-level analysis and review with management of financial summary information, analysis of financial reports and development of fiscal procedures.nSmile and engage guests and team members with a friendly professional manner.nCreate, facilitate and maintain a positive work environment.nPerform other duties as assigned.nRequirementsEducation, Experience and TrainingnBachelor’s Degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, or similar field required.nFive (5) years of accounting, cost, and/or financial analysis experience required.nBally SDS and BI, or similar gaming software experience required.nThree years (3) of Extensive Casino Performance analysis required.nSpecific Skills/Knowledge/Abilities RequirednExhibit advanced SQL (or similar) querying skills, including proven knowledge of financial metrics.nExhibit advanced Excel modeling skills, including knowledge of financial metrics to be able to evaluate projects based on their financial returns.nDemonstrate advanced analytical skills.nDemonstrate advanced understanding and knowledge of financial statement relationship (P&L, BS, CF).nDemonstrate proven ability to function as a “self-starter” who can work independently and accommodate many internal partners.nDemonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.nDemonstrate advanced communication skills, both oral and written.
