POSITION PROFILE
Lead finance-related activities in support of multiple/large projects/ functions or major business units/product lines of the organization's business/operations. Develops and/or oversees the preparation of detailed and complex analyses and research for financial forecasts and projections. Conducts financial analysis through the application of expert general content or specialized technical knowledge to business units. Assignments are broad in nature, requiring originality and ingenuity beyond application of traditional accounting/financial concepts. Could supervise and support team of accounting and/or finance professionals and assigns personnel to tasks and projects. Finance Manager – Site Controller – East Greenville (Knoll) reports directly to the Director Finance Ops.- Knoll.
Essential Functions:
Actively participate/interact with the Finance Team Leaders on an ongoing basis and during month-end/year-end close and yearly planning.
Assigns, monitors, reviews progress/accuracy of work, directing efforts and providing technical guidance on complex issues.
Coordinates /oversees/provides support and liaisons with MillerKnoll finance and local Site operations.
Ensure adherence to the MillerKnoll financial policy and GAAP.
Influences business decisions by effectively forecasting, formulating, and presenting financial forecasts.
Provides professional mentoring to less experienced team members.
Maintain a thorough understanding of complex MillerKnoll IT systems and their inter-relationships and dependencies.
Uses broadly defined procedures to support documentation processes in compliance with corporate financial guidelines.
Provide support to other business partners with their financial accounting issues and requirements.
Review and re-engineer business processes as necessary. You will identify business requirements and manage change.
Summarizes financial performance, identifies key performance indicators, and facilitates action plans to address significant risks and opportunities related to manufacturing operations and product line performance.
Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
Required Skills
Strong analytical, organization, time management and process management skills for success in a deadline-oriented environment.
Demonstrated high level of written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to communicate information, ideas, procedures, and processes in a logical sequence; at a level appropriate to the audience and resulting in effective working relationships. (Team player/Team builder)
Must have competencies that include strong business literacy, systemic thinking, coaching skills, customer focus, planning skills, organizational skills, and ability to be resourceful and timely in completing work assignments
Exhibits a high degree of accuracy & attention to detail in completed assignments.
Demonstrated ability to use office automation software and communication tools currently used in the MillerKnoll office environment.
Previous experience and current knowledge of Financial Systems.
Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or without accommodations.
Required Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or MBA preferred.
6 years of experience in professional accounting.
2-5 years of experience as a manager or supervisor of accounting professionals.
Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, solve problems, and work with all levels in the organization, including executive leadership.
Experience and proficient with Microsoft Office products (Power-point/Excel/Word)
Minimal travel required.
