Overview
The Financial Analyst is responsible for performing in-depth research, analysis, and interpretive insights of financial data to recommend quality improvements to current processes, forecast alignment of business objectives with economic/financial environments, and support strategic planning and business opportunities. They perform financial analysis on cash flow, operating results, and business plans to determine rates of return, capital/cash flow requirements, etc.
The Financial Analyst works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. They exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
Responsibilities
Develop and interpret financial concepts for financial planning and control.
Prepare forecasts and analysis on industry and general economic trends.
Gather, analyze, prepare, and summarize recommendations for financial plans, trended future requirements, operating forecasts, etc.
Perform in-depth economic research and studies in the areas of rate of return, depreciation, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance and impact of governmental requirements.
Monitor and provide monthly revenue and/or expense analyses on projects/problems in which analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of tangible and intangible variables.
Develop ad-hoc and special reports summarizing project status/results, presentations to Senior Management, and recommendations impacting business decisions.
Contribute to business case development and analysis for the organization or functional business areas.
Perform technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance. Provide accurate and timely reports for performance monitoring.
Apply organizational policy and procedure to resolve a variety of problems.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years' experience or equivalent experience.
