POSITION PROFILE
The Site Controller is responsible for providing both strategic financial leadership and tactical oversight to the VP Manufacturing and the site leadership team. This position works in partnership with finance and functional leadership to champion process improvement through effective problem-solving techniques, design and management of processes and key metrics. This role will provide direct leadership and be integral to the successful implementation of the Oracle E-Business Suite at the East Greenville, PA site. Site Controller (East Greenville, PA) – reports directly to the Senior Finance Director N.A. Sites – Office.
All financial matters including but not limited to: financial accounting, reporting, inventory, fixed assets, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls and decision support for site leadership
Ensure that the business is accounted for according to generally accepted accounting principles in adherence to corporate accounting policies and procedures
Monitor and implement Sarbanes-Oxley controls at the site working closely with corporate compliance staff
Ensure clear understanding and reporting of cost and pending variances: highlighting root causes of the variances.
Provide accurate and timely financial and risk analysis to the VP Manufacturing to support decision making
Partner closely with operations leadership and other functional groups to ensure accounting conclusions are properly considered across all disciplines
Lead and coordinate a standardization of finance best practices during and after the implementation of the Oracle R-12.
Assess the accounting and financial reporting implications of significant/unusual transactions
Drive continuous improvement programs and processes by establishing and maintaining high quality assurance standards
Provide guidance and technical knowledge on finance and accounting matters
Educate, coach, mentor direct reports
Complete other ad-hoc assignments as required
Microsoft Office products knowledge (Power-point/Excel/Word)
Required Skills
Experience with ERP systems and Consolidation tools preferred (specifically Oracle)
Minimum 7 - 10 years of progressive finance experience in an organization of appropriate scale and complexity
Ability to prioritize, run, and handle multiple projects at one time
High level of interpersonal, written, verbal communication skills
Ability to work cross functionally in order to achieve desired results
Strong analytical research, mathematical modeling and forecasting skills
Flexible, prepared to travel as required
Ideal candidate will have a desire and willingness to grow beyond the advertised role and at the appropriate time move to another role within finance or the broader Knoll organization
Required Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or Finance
CPA or Master’s degree is preferred
Minimum 5 - 7 years of progressive cost accounting and finance experience in a manufacturing organization of similar scale and complexity
