Financial Accountant amp Internal Control Leader

We are looking for a proactive financial accountant & internal control leader for our newly established factory in Seremban, Sendayan Techvalley for underground loading & hauling equipment. Do we share the same mission?
In this position you are primarily responsible for the completion of GL accounting & reporting, including preparation of general ledger reconciliations, month end reporting, internal control implementation and assistance with regulatory returns as required. Primary focus working areas:
Month end accounting including accrual accounting and accounting for prepayments
Implementation of SAP ERP system from manual bookkeeping process
Monthly and quarterly reporting into OneStream platform
Liaise with internal and external auditors when necessary
External and internal tax reporting and attending to queries
Supporting appointed company secretary with documentation requirements
Preparation of general ledger reconciliations and month end journals
Accounting for fixed assets and inventory
Responsible for managing AP function and ensuring strong governance and control around procurement and payment processes
Local Internal control lead - implementation of Internal Control System within the entity
Implementation of Sound Governance Structure within the entity abiding to Sandvik’s compliance network
Ensure all company policies and forms are up to date
Provision of accounting advice to other departments
Cross functional work with support job rotation to ensure the department will be able to function in absence of any one staff
Leverage new systems and technologies to automate process within GL Processing
Identify continuous improvement activities
Other ad-hoc task when required
Your background and what we find important
This role would be ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their career and at the same time looking to have hands on and some leadership experience. As a person you are governance focussed, technology oriented with excellent attention to detail. You can prioritise your work to meet key deliverables and are a team player who enjoys working collaboratively. You are used to work with MS Excel and Power BI and can work under pressure. You have a qualification in Finance/Accounting with an Accounting Certification (MIA, ACCA, CA or equivalent) and several years of experience in a large corporate environment.
