Scope/Purpose of the Position
Performs upfront clerical functions to assist in having the loan processed in its initial stages
Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions
Technical Expertise
Completes all tasks defined on the loan set-up checklist provided by their manager. This includes but is not limited to 3rd party services such as flood, fraud prevention services, tax return verification forms, verbal employment information and appraisals.
Reviews data noted in the loan origination system and compares it to the documentation received, as it relates to basic data, such as accurate loan contact information.
Additional tasks requested per Manager
Administrative
Responsible for scanning of loan documentation into the document management system and proper labelling of the documents accordingly.
Develop and maintain relationships with branch processing and Loan Officers to ensure loan moves through the system in a timely and accurate manner.
Work Experience and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work within time constraints.
Excellent level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
Ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of departmental policies, practices and procedures.
Strong time management skills, fast learner, self-motivated, and comfortable taking initiative.
Committed to taking responsibility and ownership for agreed actions and delivery.
Reports to work on a daily and timely basis.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Prior experience in mortgage lending preferred.
