GENERAL SUMMARY
Under general supervision, responsible for conducting audits of corporate Information Technology functions, applications and systems, monitoring project management initiatives, and reporting on adherence to policies and procedures and the adequacy of internal controls to mitigate significant risks. This role also supports ITGC controls testing, external IT audit, regulatory, third-party audit and control reviews. Actively promotes a strong internal control environment in assurance and consultative services provided in conjunction with and formally documented in the Internal Audit Manual (derived from the Standards established by the Institute of Internal Auditors {IIA}).
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Independently, and/or in coordination with Audit Management and staff perform internal audits of IT functions and other business functions, to determine compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, FFIEC guidance and IIA standards. May act as Auditor in Charge (AIC) on specific audits.
Execute internal audits effectively and efficiently in accordance with the approved audit plan and under the direction of the Auditor in Charge to achieve audit objectives.
Documents audit work clearly and concisely to support conclusions.
Support IT regulatory examinations and external audits in coordination with Audit Management.
Assist in recording, tracking and validating internal and external IT audit issues, reported for management's corrective actions.
Provide meaningful recommendations based on evaluated risks and follow-up on the resolution of issues.
Review work papers prepared by staff assigned to assist with audits.
Keep current on matters relating to internal controls, regulations, accounting and banking industry, in general.
Develop and maintain audit and technical competencies needed to complete audit assignments.
Comply with the Internal Audit Department Charter, procedures and professional standards.
Maintain a high level of professionalism and leadership when working with employees and other individuals required to interact with as a part of their assigned duties.

Communicates orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner. Forms objective opinions on the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls and identifies core issues.
Assists in ITGC testing for the Sarbanes Oxley Program.
Required Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in information systems, computer science, IT, information management, business management, finance or related field
3 years' experience in IT audit with a professional firm or business.
Preferred Education/Experience:
Broad exposure to banking industry
Preferred Certifications, Licenses or systems:
CISA, CISSP or CISM
CIA
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
Required Knowledge & Skills:
Ability to execute IT audits IT and SOX testing assigned and lead certain audits at times with minimal supervision required
Ability to meet workpaper quality and timely delivery standards
Address Auditor-In-Charge, review comments timely and appropriately. Perform timely review of workpapers when leading audit.
Develop audit issues and draft reports. Provide meaningful recommendations based on evaluated risks and follow-up on the resolution of issues.
Familiarity with a variety of technologies, operating systems, databases, and reporting tools
Understanding of commonly used internal control and information technology frameworks, including COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ITIL, etc
