Duties
SUMMARY
Noted national law firm seeks candidates
for its Consulting Group in the firm's New York office. The Consulting
Group is comprised of professionals recruited from a variety of disciplines,
including finance, accounting, information technology and economics and
provides the firm invaluable expertise, perspective and insight into the
analysis of each client’s circumstance. In addition to their individual
areas of academic and professional training, our Consultants are trained
in the litigation process. We seek professionals with backgrounds in litigation
consulting, dispute advisory, finance, accounting and/or economics to join
our Group in New York. Candidates should possess strong research, organization
and communication skills and have a demonstrated passion for complex commercial
litigation. Competitive salary, commensurate with experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee and manage the consulting group; including
delegating and allocating responsibilities and assignments
Conduct research on firms, organizations and
transactions
Synthesize financial, competitive and industry
information
Develop financial models in a range of dispute
situations to support business valuations
Perform analysis of accounting, finance, economic
issues in the context of litigation
Assist in developing and evaluating damages
claims and calculations
Identify and work with expert witnesses
Work closely with attorneys to develop litigation
case themes and arguments
Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation
– discovery, depositions and trial
Requirements
Minimum qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in
finance, accounting, economics or other business-related field
Preferred qualification: MBA, CPA, Masters
in Economics, Masters in Finance
7 years of experience in finance, accounting,
investigation and/or litigation consulting roles
Deliver high quality work that meets expectations
for timeliness, accuracy, and completeness
Candidate must be able to lead; take charge
of projects while actively overseeing and delegating duties
Ability to analyze companies from a financial,
operational and industry perspective
Supervising and reviewing the work of less
experienced consultants and coaching others in prioritizing tasks
Highly proficient research and analytics capabilities
Proficient use of applicable software programs,
including Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word
