JOB OVERVIEW:
This position is responsible for leading the controllership function for the KICS Portfolio of businesses. This role will work closely with the vertical CFO, business unit Controllers, Tax, Treasury, SOX, and Technical Accounting teams. The role is primarily responsible for accurate and timely issuance of financial statements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leading the team of Controllers by coordinating closing activities and safeguarding accurate reporting in the monthly closing process
Responsible for ensuring an effective internal control structure is in place for multiple business units within the portfolio and maintaining compliance with SOX, US GAAP and Henry Schein Accounting guidance
Lead communications between businesses and our Team Schein partners, such as tax, treasury, and corporate accounting
Drive continuous improvement and standardization of reporting and analytical processes to drive productivity and efficiency
Liaise with leadership to provide insight into significant account balance fluctuations
Oversee all internal and external audit engagements
Provide analytical and financial ad hoc support to businesses within the portfolio
Direct multiple strategic analyses for improved profitability and increased visibility for leadership on drivers of financials
Manage team of TSMs to ensure critical deadlines are met; train, develop, and retain a high performing team.
Participate in special projects as needed
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Strong commitment to financial accuracy and data integrity is required
Must possess an enthusiasm for identifying and implementing process improvements
BS in Finance or Accounting required, and CPA preferred
Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) experience preferred
Understanding of GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley, and Internal Controls
Expert Knowledge of Microsoft products, specifically Excel, required
Strong ability to understand and communicate complex financial concept

Ability to influence, build relationships, understand organizational complexities and manage conflict
Broad professional and managerial skills with a good understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures
Ability to lead virtual teams
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
Typically 10 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of any applicable professional experience; 1 or more years of management experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent a plus.
The posted range for this position is $94,320 - $141,480which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc. This position is also eligible for a bonus not reflected in the posted range.
