Purpose of Position:
The role of the Executive Pastor (XP) is to assist the Lead Pastor (LP) in executing the strategic direction of the church under the oversight of the Leadership Board. The XP will ensure that the church's systems, practices, and policies responsibly and effectively support its ministry activities. This role manages the church's administrative systems and employment activities, oversees the office operations and church facilities, as well as branding and communications.
Position Summary:
The role of the XP will encompass but is not limited to the following:
-Administrative Leadership
Under the leadership of the XP, execute the administration of the church through appropriate staff, lay leadership teams, and consultants (as needed). The oversight of the church office and campus functions is central to this assignment along with the proper functioning of the church technology infrastructure.
-Functional Oversight and Alignment
The XP will provide oversight to the activities which allow North Fresno Church to remain true to the vision and values of the church, while developing new ministry programs. This includes coordinating full-time and part-time staff.
-Finance and Accounting
Under the direction of the Stewardship Committee, monitor the financial accounting processes, including; preparing monthly financial statements, oversee financial reconciliations, process reimbursements and bill payments, and ovesee payroll processes.
-Human Resources Supervision and Development
Under the leadership of the LP, serve as personnel coordinator for pastors and paid staff.
-Marketting and Communication
Responsible for protecting and promoting North Fresno Church's unique identity or brand through internal and external communications.
Education and Experience:
A preference for a bachelor's degree in related fields of business administration, finance or similar fields. 2 plus years of business, church or non-profit leadership.
Salary and Benefits:
This is a full-time position with a competitive compensation package per the experience of the candidate. A benefit package including salary, housing allowance, health insurance, and a matching 401k pension plan are available. North Fresno Church partners with the Mennonite Brethren Foundation as a potential lending partner for home mortgages. Fresno, CA remains an affordable housing location in California.
