Job Description:
General Summary: Manages budget operations for multiple programs within the School of Theology. Frequent communication with the Dean, as well as directors of CBTE and SPS programs. Relies on experience to propose suggestions and ideas, answer questions, problem-solve, project, analyze data, and develop budgets for new projects and awards. Delegates and manages budget responsibilities to several SOT Administrative Assistants in order to meet deadlines. Additional responsibilities include working with the Dean during the various phases of the University budget process, leading budget meetings with SOT Administration, tracking expenses to provide on-going spending guidelines, generating financial reports, processing faculty and adjunct contracts, developing and/or reviewing budget components of grant proposals and awards, and reconciling budgets monthly and at the end of the fiscal year. Relies on experience, discretionary judgment, and initiative to plan and accomplish goals. Is detail-oriented and has excellent organizational skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Products, particularly Excel.
Essential Job Duties:
Works with Dean and Program Directors to manage and track budget operations for multiple programs within the School of Theology.
Reconciles budgets monthly and at the end of the fiscal year
Delegates budget responsibilities to administrative assistants within SOT and review all payment forms that are generated through the SOT program for accuracy.
Works with new adjuncts so they are set up for employment and manages adjunct and overload contracts for the School of Theology
Develops, reviews and tracks budget components of grant proposals and awards
Requirements:
Four year Bachelor's Degree. Bachelor's in business or accounting, a plus.
One to Two years professional experience in budgeting, finance, or closely related field. Professional experience in higher education, preferred.
Must be detail oriented and possess initiative and excellent organizational skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Products including Outlook, Word, and intermediate user of Excel.
Ability to take complex budget details and clearly express them before an audience, is desirable.

Position will remain open until filled.
Salary: $26.92 to 28.36 per hour, DOE
