Given the rapid growth and increased size of their reinsurance portfolio, the business is seeking a talented Reinsurance Accounting Professional to work directly with the Chief Accounting Officer and Corporate Controller.u003cbr /u003e u003cbr /u003e As a Director of Reinsurance Accounting you'll be working with the US finance team. In this highly critical role, you'll would be overseeing the cession statement accounting process as well as assisting the Controller with financial reporting across US GAAP / Statutory Reporting and significant involvement in non-routine transactions and process improvementsu003cbr /u003e u003cbr /u003e Key responsibilities includeu003cbr /u003e u003c/pu003eu003culu003eu003cliu003eManagement of reinsurance accounting process and cession statement booking, including oversight of a team of Accountantsu003c/liu003eu003cliu003ePrepare reinsurance related financial foot note information for GAAP and Statutory reporting.u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eResearch u0026amp; provides complex accounting impacts on new u0026amp; existing reinsurance structures/transactions.u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eEnsures the accuracy of reinsurance entries based on the related reinsurance, trust and management agreements.u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eAnalyze treaty results and its impact on overall financials, in order to generate meaningful information for management.u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eCommunicate with third party reinsurers on identified complex discrepancies u0026amp; resolves in a collaborative and timely fashion.u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eAssistance with non-routine transactions and process changes and improvements across GAAP and STATu003c/liu003eu003cliu003eCreate and maintain synergies across multiple teams through coordination with peersu003c/liu003eu003cliu003eCoordination of new transaction onboardingu003c/liu003eu003c/ulu003eu003cpu003eThe ideal candidate will have a strong reinsurance accounting background with tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance or a related discipline. Ideally, you'll also hold a CPA, MBA or equivalent.
