Overview
We are seeking a Senior Business Financial Manager
located in Washington, DC
to provide specialized financial analysis, accounting, and business services to support business operations in support of the CPS Program.
Position is Hybrid (2 days onsite in DC and 3 days remote).
Responsibilities
Assist in procurement preparation, planning, scheduling and documentation development including researching requirements. Knowledge of the contracting process in general
Understanding of and ability to generate program schedules for a major acquisition program.
Support tasks using Microsoft Office Suite of programs. Ability to formulate and create financial information to the needs of the program office in creative and meaningful ways for POM/PR briefs, congressional type briefs, and budget development
Support annual Program Objective Management (POM) process and provide strategic options to the program office for managing budget shortfalls
Support the development of the Government's annual Program Office Task Planning Sheets (TPS) for all funding execution utilizing NEPS/NEPS background
Train and mentor junior level budget personnel
Strong understanding of the Navy financial process. Budgets/PBES in general. Ability to look at PBES report and understand it.
Navy ERP experience for reports creation
Knowledge of and ability to create Procurement Requests (checks written to each project performer)
Very organized and ability to make recommendations on task management/management of work unit area
Qualifications
Required skills:
Must have one of the following:
a) A bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least eleven (11) years of professional experience, OR
b) A master's degree in a relevant field and at least ten (10) years of professional experience, OR
c) At least fifteen (15) years of demonstrated experience in specific PWS task area
Must have active DOD Secret Clearance and ability to sustain one
Must be a US Citizen
Strong Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
Experience with Navy ERP and other financial management systems (e.g., ERP, NEPS, REMIS, RDOCS, PDOCS, PBIS)
Experience with Program Objective Management (POM) process
