About The Role This role is within the Commercial Finance team and reports to the Head of Commercial Finance and Planning for Security. The Commercial Finance team is responsible for providing guidance, advice and challenge on financial and operational matters to the Business Unit Leadership. The key priorities for the role are: Business Partner Business Unit Leadership team Partnering with the Security Business Unit Leadership Team to provide financial support, analysis and advice. This is to ensure that decisions are made on accurate and timely information and sound financial advice. Identify potential cost savings and operational efficiencies to enable Senior Management to improve company profitability. Performance Monthly Reviews (PMRs) Prepare a monthly reporting pack for the Security BU. This is to provide the Security Business Unit Leadership Team with actual performance versus target and lead indicators for future performance. The PMR pack will include information on financial performance including KPIs, P&L and cost analysis including capital spend. It will include analysis of the sales pipeline and operational metrics such as WIP delivery and utilisation. It may also include other financial or non-financial metrics. The preparation of these packs includes collecting and validating data from multiple sources and reconciling it to ensure consistency. Presenting the data in a clear and concise format. Providing insightful commentary explaining any key variances or movements and highlighting any risks the Business Unit Directors should be aware of. Work with the Business Unit Senior Team to develop these packs over time to ensure they continue to provide relevant and useful information. Quarter end reporting Working with Finance and the Business Unit Senior Teams to prepare quarter end reporting and analysis. Support the Business Unit Directors in preparing for Quarterly Reviews with the Group CEO and CFO. Support to the Sales Team Support the Sales Team by providing accurate, timely and insightful financial models to maximize the retention of existing customers at competitive price and margin. Attend internal tender/pricing meetings. Clearly and concisely explain the financial models to attendees. Analyse existing customer’s true profitability to enable informed decision making. Approve sales in Salesforce Support to Business Unit Product Management Working with the Security Portfolio team on CPQ Tool creation in Kimble on Salesforce platform. Full support for new product launches including walkthrough of the lead to cash process. Ensure that the profitability of all new products and customers are accurately calculated with relevant and timely information to enable the business to make appropriate decisions. Delivery tracking and financial management Ensure work in progress (WIP) is accurate and reviewed on a regular basis with the Business using Kimble on Salesforce platform. Act as the Finance interface between Security and the wider Finance function. System transformation Drive increased automation and adoption of systems in the SBU. Commission Calculate commission payments for the Security BU Sales team based on the approved commission plan Issue commission statements to the Security BU Sales team Investigate and resolve queries on commission Business Support Provide support, analysis and advice as required to all the Senior Management. Responsibility for completion and presentations of ad hoc projects as required. Assist in the automation of data preparation and reporting. Ad hoc project work as required. About The Candidate Essential: Either CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified or part qualified. Advanced Excel skills. Strong report writing skills Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the business. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of tasks. Can do attitude and a willingness to be hands on. Ability to present information in a concise and professional manner.
