About NCSL
The Senate Fiscal Agency, a nonpartisan agency of the Michigan Legislature, is seeking a Fiscal Analyst. Fiscal Analysts are responsible
primarily for analyzing the State budget in support of the Michigan Senate.
Minimum Qualifications
Successful candidates must possess at least a Master’s degree in an appropriate field; a strong foundation in quantitative public policy analysis and public finance; excellent writing, research, and communication skills; and the ability to perform objective and thorough fiscal policy analysis of State legislation. Knowledge of specific public policy areas is also encouraged.
Salary
Salary range is commensurate with experience. Entry salary begins at $53,225. For a detailed job description, please see the SFA website.
