As a Commercial Parking Yield Manager Term, you will lead the development and implementation of the yield management strategy to increase and grow revenue.
Commercial Parking Yield Manager Term
This is a non-career, term position.
Serves in the Office of Revenue at the Headquarters Office Building.
Leads the development and implementation of the yield management strategy to increase and grow revenue. Identifies metrics and recommends specific actions required to balance demand and optimize revenue and occupancy in real time. Performs related functions
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Identifies and executes the strategic plan for revenue maximization and ancillary revenue generation.
Applies yield management demand forecasting techniques and develops and implements optimization algorithms to maximize revenue across all parking products, services and channels.
Monitors key metrics and assesses performance of initiatives and develops/delivers regular reporting that identifies causality and quantifies results to ensure that the Commercial Parking team is consistently sharpening and improving tactics and messaging.
Utilizes analyses of revenue trends, forecasts, market share, and customer satisfaction at Reagan National and Dulles International, as well as the airport industry as a whole, to establish optimal booking pricing policies.
Targets specific levers (price, length of stay, product, etc.) to build up a playbook of actions to address common demand scenarios.
Collaborates with the Airports Authority's Marketing, Corporate Communications Departments and other stakeholders to maximize potential revenue, brand awareness and promotion of the Airports Authority's parking products and programs including specific promotional and travel industry programs to create opportunities for product sampling, upselling and ensuring that the Airports Authority's parking portfolio is Top of Mind as a preferred choice when traveling.
Works with external marketing agency for real time digital outreach, including pay-per-click, social, email, streaming and other media and coordinates with the internal marketing and digital team to send direct email offers to opt-in parking customers,
In collaboration with the Commercial Parking Products Director, negotiates business agreements and manages parking business relationships between outside agencies, particularly travel agencies, parking aggregators and corporations in order to drive increases in customer conversion, revenue and occupancy.
Manages auditing of a variety of computer-generated and hand-written reports in an effort to account for all revenue processed and discounts provided via booking software, promotions and industry outreach programs.
Tracks, analyzes and assesses market changes in local hotel parking, off airport parking facilities, Ground Transportation options and other customer options for accessing our airports to ensure the Airports Authority's parking portfolio remains price and value competitive.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Six years of progressively responsible experience in revenue analysis, with emphasis on yield management.
Skill in developing and implementing yield management strategies for competitive advantage.
Knowledge of successful marketing methods for delivering real time pricing initiatives and ability to work with marketing and digital agencies to deliver pricing messages.
Skill in yield management systems and business intelligence, to create and manage systems inputs, ensuring comprehensive integrated reports.
Ability to perform
mathematical and statistical analyses of financial, economic, managerial, and operational data to assist in yield management planning and decision making.
Ability to speak and write effectively, with emphasis on creating
business strategy reports and presentations
Ability to maintain effective and harmonious internal and external working relationships.
Skill in using a computer, modern office suite, accounting, and use of statistical analysis applications, and financial systems/software and ability to learn new software/systems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
A Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field.
Experience performing statistical analysis of large amounts of data utilizing advanced features of Microsoft Excel, or specialized statistical tools such as SAS, SPSS, R, or an equivalent tool.
Experience with analyzing and forecasting commercial parking revenue.
EDUCATION
A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES REQUIRED
A state driver's license in good standing.
