Applications are invited for the role of Research Finance Administrator in the School of Life Sciences to support the financial costing of research grant applications and management of awarded grants held within the School.
 Life Sciences has a broad portfolio of research with grants being awarded across the funding landscape including UKRI, charities, government, industry and overseas which can have different financial rules and governance which you will be required to advise on.
Key tasks of the role include assisting the Research Finance Manager with costing grant applications including maximising school margins, keeping the application pipeline up to date and assisting in the translation of costings onto funder portals e.g. Je-S.
 The role also includes managing live projects in terms of approving costs associated with staff appointments, advising on potential under and overspends of budgets, providing  general advice and actions on financially-related activities of the school Research portfolio, ensuring timesheets are completed and approved where necessary and approval of staff expenses.
 The role is based within the Research Development Team in the School and will require working closely with many academic, research and administrative colleagues within the School as well as with staff in central Research and Innovation and Finance.
This full-time (36.25 hour), fixed-term post is available until 31/07/2023. Job share arrangements may be considered.
