MORTGAGE LOAN OFFICER POSITION SUMMARY
Well-respected, innovative, multiple-location community bank is looking for a Mortgage Loan Officer to join their growing team. They are a strong believer in work-life balance and provide a great company culture!
The Mortgage Loan Officer is responsible for originating, processing, and closing mortgage loans. Markets bank products and generates new business in markets. Advises borrowers on financial status and payment methods.
MORTGAGE LOAN OFFICER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for building new mortgage lending opportunities
Analyze applicants' financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine loan feasibility
Obtain and compile copies of loan applicants credit histories, corporate financial statements, and other financial information
Explain to customers the different type of loans and credit options that are available
Meet with applicants for loan applications and provide additional customer service
Review and update credit and loan files
Submit applications to credit analyst for verification
Develop relationships with realtors and builder to proactively solicit business
Set credit policies, credit lines, procedures and standards in conjunction with senior managers
Confer with underwriters to aid in resolving problems
Be involved in community events and portray a positive, professional presence of the bank within th community
MORTGAGE LOAN OFFICER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to perform basic math and interpret graphs and charts
Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions
Demonstrate strong oral/communication, organization, attention to detail and problem-solving skills
MORTGAGE LOAN OFFICER EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience
Minimum of four (4) years of experience in similar job duties
NMLS License preferred
