What you will do
The Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), is responsible for providing leadership of the budgeting, forecasting, SaaS/financial metrics, long-term planning, and strategic business analysis function. You will lead financial modeling, analysis, forecasting, pricing analysis and metrics reporting to ensure efficient business operations.
Essential Functions
As our Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A, some of your responsibilities will include:
Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual FP&A processes, including planning cycles, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and executive reporting.
Generate, review, and present SaaS/financial metrics and analysis of financial statements.
Lead preparation of annual budget and assist management in an overall strategic direction.
Develop financial forecasts to project revenue, net income, and cash flows, and present forecasts to executive leadership to influence strategic decision-making.
Assist in the monthly, quarterly and annual closing of the books.
Consult closely with the Sales department and Sales leadership to forecast pipeline and translate sales pipeline to revenue projections.
Work closely with senior leadership and the finance team for ad-hoc corporate and operational projects to provide in-depth business case analysis and improve efficiency.
Participate in administrative staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars.
Required Education and Experience
A bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting and 3-5 years of financial planning and analysis experience
Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Strong knowledge of financial reporting
Excellent ability to problem-solve and strong analytical skills
Comfortable interacting with all levels of management
Ability to review data and make relevant management decisions
Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include advanced knowledge of Excel with focus on financial modeling
Deep understanding of subscription software business models
Excellent organizational management skills
Preferred Education and Experience
Masters' degree in Finance or Accounting or related field.
Prior SaaS industry experience and familiarity with ASC 606 revenue recognition guidelines is a plus
Proficient in Salesforce
Location
This position has a flexible remote schedule with being in our Baltimore, MD office 1-2 days a week as needed.
