Job DescriptionHead of Finance – OutdoorReporting of the RoleThis role reports to Finance Director – Group & Outdoor Overview of jobReporting to the FD, the Head of Finance will manage the finance business partnering function for Global’s Outdoor business across the UK with key group reporting for our International Outdoor business areas.3 best things about the jobStakeholder engagement at the highest level of the company, including board members and senior management.A senior finance role with a heavy emphasis on commercial management of the business, including significant input into and influence on decisions.Opportunity to work in an international business with Outdoor divisions in Spain, Netherlands and Ireland.Measures of success – In the first few months, you would haveBuilt a good working relationship with key business partners and the Finance Director – Group & OutdoorDeveloped a detailed understanding across a diverse group of business areas each with their own intricacies and challenges.Identified changes, improvements and new ways of working and developed a plan to implement them.Embraced Global’s brands, values & behaviours and passion for the business.Responsibilities of the roleLead a team of 9 to deliver high level support for this sophisticated and strategically important business area.Financial responsibility and business partnering for the UK operations of the Outdoor business, including business partnering for the COO Outdoor & Operations Director, Outdoor.Ownership of the P&L, budget, forecasts and KPIs for the Outdoor areasManage the consolidation of the Outdoor Group including the international operations in, Ireland, Netherlands and Spain.Liaise closely with the finance teams in the International operations to ensure alignment over reporting,You will maintain the highest level of financial management and controls to support your business areas.Embrace technological changes including the new finance system to deliver efficient, value improving support for the businessLead and participate in key projects, business reviews and deal appraisals for your areas. Support the business on franchise renegotiations and new business pitches, making sure the economics of the deals are clearly analysed and understoodGain a deep understanding of the workings of the Outdoor advertising industry, including key franchise partners such as Transport for London, National Rail and Wildstone (roadside landlord)Participate as part of the senior management team within finance in helping the CFO setting strategy, objectives and people plansWhat you will needTo have developed business partnering relationships at a senior level within an organisationSignificant experience working in a relevant finance role at a senior level.
