Global Support Services, LLC (GSS), a wholly owned subsidiary of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. (BSNC) is seeking Operations Research Analyst at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.
The Operations Research Analyst will formulate and apply mathematical modeling and other optimizing methods to develop and interpret information to assist management with decision making, policy formulation, or other managerial functions. This position collects and analyzes data, develop and supply optimal time, and cost for program evaluation, review, or implementation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop metrics necessary to measure success of capabilities implemented to improve business performance.
Perform analysis of courses of action (COA) identified as possible solution for implementing information technology (lT) requirements and help determine the best COA.
Develop metrics necessary to acquire and successfully deploy IT systems. These metric include Measures of Effectiveness [MoEsJ for business processes, at the capability level and Measures of performance [MoPsJ, for Information Technology ITJ Functional Requirements ITFRs
Formulate mathematical or simulation models of problems, relating constants and variables, restrictions, alternatives, conflicting objectives, and their numerical parameters'

Perform action officer duties per customer processes to respond to management questions and taskings.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements :
Required:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in operations research, statistics, business, or in technical or quantitative fields, such as engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics.
Five (5) or more progressive experience in operations research , organizational/departmental methods analysis, statisiical analysis, and productivity work measurement studies.
Strong personal computer (PC) skills.
Experience with interpreting instructions, technical manuals andlor directives necessary for the accomplishment of job assignment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must have working knowledge of computers and other office equipment
Ability to write routine reports and business correspondence.
Ability to identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
Must communicate effectively with customers, fellow employees and management.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
Must have working knowledge of calculators, prepariny'filing of written documents.
Work harmoniously with other employees promoting teamwork and cooperation.
Ability to work in fast paced and compliance driven environment.
Ability to take initiative to ask questions andlor voice concems in order to clarify task goals prior to completing work tasks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and abiltty to follow directions.
Preferred:
Knowledge of Air Force logistics
Experience with the Air Force's Service Development and Deliver Process
Advanced degree in operations research, statistics, business, or in technical or quantitative fields, such as engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics.
Background in probability and statistics.
