The CFO is accountable for the financial and risk management operations of the company, to include the development of a financial and operational strategy and the development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.

Job Duties:
Assist in formulating the company’s future direction and support tactical initiatives through budgeting, financial forecasting and ROI analysis.
Develop methods and procedures throughout the company to ensure productive, efficient, accurate and coordinated business operations.
Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for all departments for the company.
Play an active role in the management team, including developing and implementing strategic plans.
Manage the accounting, IT, human resources, legal, tax and treasury functions.
Create an environment that is in line with company culture including encouragement of each member of the team to develop and grow their skills and abilities by providing strong leadership.
Performance management of department staff.
Set performance targets/goals & KPI’s for accounting and IT staff
Assess and implement training and development requirements for assigned staff.
Maintain banking, outside accounting firm, and audit firm relationships.
Prepare, analyze and issue accurate financial information advising on the financial implication of business activities.
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly financial reports and other reports as needed.
Provide key financial information to the Board of Advisors, CEO and other company management.
Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts, arranging for debt and equity financing as required.
Ensure credibility of finances by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts.
Provide useful financial insights to help make better decisions about formulating and executing business strategy.
Monitor actual costs compared to budget and lead efforts to adjust costs as needed.
Understand and mitigate key elements of the company’s risk profile through reliable control systems, appropriate insurance coverage and record keeping requirements.
Develop and implement financial and administrative procedures and controls.
Oversee all company legal matters along with external counsel.
Ensure the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies.
Report risk issues to the executive management team.
Ensure compliance with GAAP.
Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
Required Experience:
A bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration, and 5 years of progressively responsible experience
A minimum of 5 years’ experience partnering with an executive team
