Description
Support attorneys, paralegals
and business development staff with complex business and legal research
related to Corporate Finance and M&A deals
Monitor legislation, publications,
league table rankings and SEC filings to identify and assess industry competitive
landscape, trends and forecasts
Push out alerts, updating and
linking content on Research and Library pages
Analyze and synthesize deal
information, providing written summaries with research findings
Assist Business Development
Teams with tracking and synthesizing deal data and related information
for articles, presentations and pitches
Provide technical support, training
and guidance to end users on all library databases and electronic subscriptions
Collaborate with Knowledge Management,
Library and IT staff to resolve resource issues and complete research projects
Skills
and
Experience Required
Master's Degree in Library or
Information Science MLS or MLIS or MSLS or MALS
Demonstrated experience researching
Corporate, Corporate Governance, Leveraged and Merger & Acquisition
transactions on a variety of law library and subscription specific software,
i.e. LexisNexis, Westlaw, Bloomberg, Capital IQ, MergerMarket, SEC, etc.
Excellent communication and
client service skills
Strong research, writing and
analysis capabilities
2-6 years of related experience
